Biography

This was my great grandmother Her grave and that of her last husband Daniel du Plessis is still on Bakbank farm. She was first married to Theodoris Ernst Kleynhans and they were the parents of my grandmother

Anna Magdalena was first married to Theodorus Ernst Cornelis Jacobus Kleynhans, but after his death on 19th March 1890 she was remarried in de Wetsdorp 0n 26/09/1894 to Pieter Daniel du Plessis (1837-1919 Her 1st husband Theodorus Ernst died 13/03/1890 and she remarried Pieter Daniel du Plessis of Bakbank , dist Jagersfontein Free State

I am the only living relation that has records like my grandmother's original doop cedel and that of my mother. On my grandmother's it states Anna Magdalena Kleynhans gebore 2 2 April 1865 Vader: Theodorus Ernst Cornelis J Kleinhans, Moeder: Anna Magdalena Kleinhans gebore van Tonder Getuies: Grootouers: Johannes Willem van Tonder en Anna Magdalena Olivier Hendrik Andries Kleinhans en Cornelia Elizabeth Kleinhans (gebore Erasmus) Theodorus Kleinhans died at de Wetsdorp at age 47 - I have his death notice Anna Magdalena Kleinhans(geb van Tonder) remarried Pieter Daniel du Plessis . They were past childbearing years but her youngest daughter married his son. I was on the Bakbank farm where their graves are and have photos of the graves posted by Andre. I have photos of my grandmother and greatj-grandmother so I do not know if any other records can prove otherwise.

My grandmother Anna Magdalena Kleinhans(that became Kleynhans) was first married to LA Schlebusch and I have record of their marriage. He died in the war in Nov 1889 and she married a man 30 years her senior Jacobus Cornelius Reyneke. My mother was born when he was 72.This caused people to confuse mother and daughter but I have the proof. My grandmother lived with us till her death at 96 and I wrote down her stories and her history ^[1]

• Photos of Bakbank graveyard on Internet and I personally visited the farm near Jagersfontein
